Rajesh Punj is a London based freelance art critic, curator, and collector of contemporary works of art. With an academic background in European and American art history and curating from Oxford Brookes, Warwick University and Goldsmiths College respectively; and a specialist interest in the emerging markets. India, China, Pakistan, Bangladesh and the Middle East. As an art correspondent and critic he is regularly commissioned by international publications and gallerists, including Saatchi Gallery (London), Flash Art International (Milan), Sculpture (Washington DC), al art magazine (Antwerp), Harper’s Bazaar Art, (Dubai), Art Paper and Selections (Beirut), ARC (Saint Vincent and the Grenadines), Elephant (London), Art Zip (Beijing, London), and Asian Art newspaper (London), among others.

About Rajesh Punj


Mission Statement

With an academic background in European and American art history and curating, Rajesh has developed a specialist interest in the emerging markets; specifically Asia and the Middle-East, through both commentary and curatorial practice. He has acquired an ability to engage with a broad panorama of international aesthetics, including design, photography, art, installation, fashion, film-making, and architecture; that as a critical writer and curator requires a sensitivity and understanding for the connectivity and influence of the East and West, one upon the other.
